Day 1 – Almost broke my promise

It’s 11:05 PM. I’m tired and I just want to sleep.

But let’s start in the morning.

Organizing my camera gear pays off the first time

I had a dentist appointment at 7:30 AM. So I got up at 6 AM to have a chilled morning. After the appointment was done, I headed back home with the car but stopped at a small lake which is just a few meters beside the road. The place I had spotted from a distance a couple of weeks ago. Still in the car, I saw a buzzard, about 50 meters away. Nice, I had my camera handy but failed to take a good photo though. Another one and two wild geese were close to the lake but again, the pictures I could take did not turn out good enough.

Nevertheless, It was still a success. It’s the first time my effort into organizing my camera gear and having it ready 24/7 to go out has paid off for the first time. Even though I didn’t come back home with an image that is worthwhile sharing. Such opportunities I have missed so often in the past, just because I wasn’t prepared.

From now on, no matter where I will go in the car a camera comes with me.

The rest of the day was packed with two more appointments and my day-to-day job used up the rest of the time. There was no chance to do anything for my project until now.

The day in a nutshell

Good

  • enabled grammerly, the free version, to help me with writing grammaticaly better posts
  • camera was ready to use, zero effort was needed to check if battery is fully charged, SD-card is empty and inserted, lense is cleaned,…

Not good

  • There was no clear goal set for today besides writing an update for the blog
  • I don’t have a good place in the car to safely transport my camera
  • I almost went to bed without writing

That’s it for day two.

cu tomorrow
